Welcome to Avro Golf Club Woodford

Enjoying panoramic views across the Cheshire countryside Avro Golf Club is set in the heart of Woodford just off Chester Road between Bramhall and Wilmslow.

Our scenic 9 hole parkland course provides an interesting and challenging experience for all ages and abilities, including the seasoned 18 hole competitive golfer. For the time short golfer and today’s busy lifestyles, the course layout and its location offers great flexibility.

We are a welcoming and all inclusive club offering a good choice of Membership options with no joining fees, and provide good rates for Societies and Pay and Play visitors.

I found the well established ladies section to be particularly friendly and welcoming. My handicap was relatively straightforward to achieve. The course is rather ‘quirky’ yet challenging thus well placed for both beginner and intermediate players alike.

I joined the club in September 2021 after playing a number of times as a visitor. The course is well kept and wonderful to play as each hole has it’s own unique challenge. Very welcoming members and very relaxed atmosphere.

We have just had our Father’s 80th birthday party at the golf club this weekend. What a gorgeous place. Phil couldn’t do enough for us in the lead up to Saturdays party and Rod and Anne were amazing on the night! My dad, and all of us in fact, had a fantastic time. I would highly recommend this as a venue and we will definitely be back.

I have played many times at Avro, the course is well laid out and it does test your golf. I t is always in good condition. You get stunning views to the East towards the Derbyshire Dales and to the Cheshire Plan in the west. It’s a friendly club, you are always made welcome

Wanted to try golf but none of my friends play, heard about Avro’s well organised ladies section. Contacted the club and was invited down to play and meet members. I joined Autumn 2022. A variety of friendly supportive members helped me improve my golf. Really enjoyed my first year.
