Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how Avro Golf Club uses any personal information we collect about you.

What information do we collect about you?

We collect information about you when you join as a member of Avro Golf Club, book a tee time or function with us or visit our club. We also collect information when you voluntarily provide feedback and participate in competitions. Our Website uses cookies to collect information about your activities on the site, with the option to opt out.

How will we use the information about you?

We collect information about you to manage your membership of Avro Golf Club, the relevant County bodies and England Golf, manage your WHS handicap, and, if you agree, to email you with information related to club activities and services which we think may be of interest to you.  Where we share your information with third parties, e.g. competition results, we will only share the relevant parts of the data we hold about you. Avro Golf Club will never share your information for marketing purposes with third parties without your express consent.

Marketing
Avro Golf Club would like to send members information about club related events and services. They have the option to set their own marketing preferences using the link at the bottom of every email sent from Avro Golf Club. Members can opt out of Club and Group emails, and 3rd Party emails. To opt out of Service emails, members should contact The Secretary. Opting out prevents members from receiving any emails or newsletters regarding Club competitions. Members can opt in again by clicking the link at the bottom of a Service email from Avro Golf Club. If they have opted out of those as well they should contact The Secretary.

Access to your information and your right to correction
You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please contact the Club Membership Secretary.  We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. If you are a member of the club, please advise the Membership Secretary of any relevant changes in your personal data as soon as possible. This may include a change of address, telephone or mobile number, change of email address, etc.  You are freely able to ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate, which we will do within 30 days of your request.
