Junior Golf

Junior golf at Avro Golf Woodford is open to girls and boys from 8 to 17 supported by two adult organisers and a PGA Coach for individual or group coaching.

For juniors who are thinking about taking up golf there are fun games for developing skills and we offer bitesize coaching. We can also help anyone wanting to gain a handicap.

Junior competitions take place over the season with plenty of silverware to be won including the President’s Trophy.

The organisers for the Junior’s section are both excellent ambassadors for the sport, not only organising the calendar and social events throughout the year, but also take a genuine interest in the development and welfare of the children. This was very apparent in 2022 when a young girl joined Avro from Ukraine. They are a credit to a the club and we are very grateful to them both for helping our son develop his golf skills.
